Bon Voyage

Hey everyone! I'm back and I am so excited that I can finally announce that I am now part of the  Design Team for A Perfect Time To Craft! Today is my very first card I've made as part of the team to give inspiration for our March Challenge. If you would like to take part in the challenge then head over to - https://aperfecttimetocraft.blogspot.com/. We have some great prizes up for grabs.

So onto my card. My challenge was to create a card with a digital stamp chosen from SheepSki      Designs. Here's the link to her shop - https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/SheepSkiDesigns. Check it out she has some great digital stamps. It was a hard choice but in the end I decided on this amazing girl    on a scooter digital stamp. Here's the link - https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/  just in case you want one for yourself. Next I decided I wanted to create a penny slider card for this digital stamp as I loved the idea of the scooter driving along the streets of Paris.

First I printed, coloured and cut out my digital stamp. Next I choose a 8x8 inch deckle card blank and matted it with some red card leaving the deckle edge visible. The next decision to make was what backing paper to choose and I just feel in love with this lovely streets of Paris one. I measured and
cut it to size and then worked out where I wanted to add my gap for my pennies. Once decided and measured out I used my craft knife to carefully cut it out. The piece of backing paper that was cut out I stuck to my red card in the same place the gap would be to make it less noticeable

.
Next I placed a penny behind my backing paper and stuck one to the back of my digital stamp. Then I stuck both pennies together with a sticky pad to allow the pennies enough room to slide back and forth. I wanted my sentiment to blend in so I cut it out and matted it with some red card. Then stuck it above a shop door to make it look like a shop sign. To stick my backing paper to my card base I used thick sticky pads as it give the pennies enough room to slide freely. Lastly I add a red gem in each corner to finish it off. That's it! I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for looking!

Into The Wizards Workshop

Hey Everyone! I had so much fun making this card for Card Making Tutorials, Support & Inspiration 2nd Birthday Challenge that I just had to share it. Here's the link if you would like to check the group out - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2080099255555175

I began this card by printing and colouring this amazing Wizard from Dr.Digi's House Of Stamps. Here's the link just in case you want one for yourself - https://www.doctor-digi.com/spells-for-beginners?search=spell&description=true.

I also printed and coloured the cauldron. Then cut both images out. The card blank I used was a 8x8 inch square and I rounded the corners with my corner punch. I used a brick backing paper to cover the card to give it a dungeon/ wizard workshop look.

Next I stuck my wizard in the middle of my card as I wanted him to be the focal point and stuck the cauldron next to him. I then printed and cut out the book shelves, torches, owl and happy birthday banner. I then carefully arranged them all onto my card and stuck them down once I was happy with how it all looked. I was so happy with how this card turned out and hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for looking!

Jumping Over The Rainbow

Hey everyone I am so excited to share my first post! This card is a penny slider and was made especially for Card Making Tutorials, Support & Inspiration 2nd Birthday Challenge. Here's the link if you want to check the group out - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2080099255555175

I started with a A5 card blank which I covered in pink card. Next I cut a curved arch into my blue card and stuck my rainbow underneath. I used this lovely unicorn digital stamp from Charlies Stamps which I coloured with pencils and cut out. I stuck a penny to the back of my unicorn and placed a penny at the back of the blue card. Then I joined the two pennies together with some sticky pads. This let's the unicorn jump over the rainbow. Here's the link to the digital stamp just in case you want one for yourself - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/597168673/cute-unicorn-digistamp-instant-download?ref=shop_home_active_7

The blue card was then stuck to the pink card with sticky pads to give enough room for the pennies to slide. Once done I hand cut some clouds out of white card and stuck them onto my card. The sentiment was added next. Then I cut some stars out of silver glitter card with my paper punch and stuck them down. To finish off I added some small silver gems. I really loved the outcome of this card. Thanks for looking!
