Goodbye 20's ! Hello 30 !

Hey everyone! Hope your all keeping safe and enjoying this amazing weather we've had. Today I'm back with my inspiration for Creative Fingers Challenge Blog. Why not pop over and enter our challenge for a chance to win our awesome prize! I decided to make my inspiration based on a similar card I saw on one of the many card making groups I'm part of on Facebook. I just loved how funny it was and knew it would be perfect card for my partners 30th!

To start my card I chose a deckle edge 8 x 8 inch square card blank. I measured out two pieces of  black matting at 18.5cms squared. Then I used my scissors to cut them both out. Taking my double sided tape I stuck one to the front of my card blank and one to the inside. I decided to use this water backing paper as it reminded me of the ocean. I measured out two pieces at 18cms squared and cut them out using my scissors.

Then using my double sided tape I stuck one on to my black matting on the front and one to my black matting inside.  Using my dies I cut out Hello, Goodbye and 3 in black card. Then 20 and S in red card. I downloaded my images and put them on to a word document to size. I then printed them out on to white card and used my scissors to fussy cut them all out.

Using my glue I stuck Goodbye to the top front of my card. I then used glue dots to secure my sharks underneath. Using more glue dots I stuck my 2 in to the first sharks mouth and the 0 into the second sharks mouth. I cut out a bit of red card in the shape of an apostrophe. Using glue I stuck the apostrophe and S to the right side of my card. Then using more glue dots I secured my hand and two shark fins to the bottom.

To finish the front of my card I used my craft knife to carefully cut a hole in each corner of my card and placed a black metal brad in each one. For the inside I used my glue to stick Hello to the top. I then used glue dots to secure my 3 and man in the rubber ring to the middle. To finish the inside I used my craft knife to carefully cut a hole in each corner and placed a black metal brad in each one. That's my card done! Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for looking!
