Growing Up Is Optional !

Hey everyone! Today I'm back with my inspiration for A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge. We have some amazing prizes up for grabs this month so why not get creating and try your luck. This month our sponser is Bugaboo Stamps. I just love their funny digital stamps so I chose Gus Birthday - Optionl to work with. This month I decided to make a twisted easel card as I just love making this style lately.

I started my card by opening my Gus digital stamp and sentiment on to a word document so I could size them. I printed them off on to white card and used my pencils to colour Gus in. I then fussy cut him out using my scissors. For my backing paper I printed off this grass and sky background. To make my square card front I grabbed a piece of A4 orange card and a piece of A4 yellow card for my matting. I measured my orange card at 15cms squared, my yellow card at 14.5cms squared and my backing paper at 14cms sqaured.

I then used my scissors to cut them all out. Taking my double sided tape I secured my yellow square on to my orange square and my backing paper on to my yellow sqaure. I used my scissors to cut out my sentiment and then matted it using orange and yellow card. Then I used glue dots to secure my Gus image and sentiment on to my backing paper. To finish it off I used my craft knife to carefully cut a hole in each corner and placed a orange metal brad in each hole. That's my square card front done.

To begin my twisted easel base I took another piece of A4 orange card and I measured it out at 11cms by 22cms. I cut it out with my scissors. Using my score board I scored it in half creating two 11cm x 11cm squares. I then scored one of my sqaures diagonally and folded it to create my base. Next I cut out a piece of yellow card measuring 10.5cms squared. Then I stuck it to my orange square base using double sided tape. I printed out another backing paper and measured it out 10cms x 10cms squared.

Using my scissor I cut it out and used more double sided tape to stick it to my orange and yellow matting. Taking my glue I stuck the triangle of my base on to the back of my square front. I printed out 'Happy Birthday Dad' for my base using word. I cut it out and matted it using more orange and yellow card. Lastly I used double sided pads to secure my sentiment on to the base of my card. That's it! I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for looking!
